All things considered, I didn't think I'd have time to write anything this month, considering how insanely busy I've been.  But after hearing a cracked out Christmas song, I had to write this.  Please forgive the beginning... poetry is not something I'm good at.

Colored icons were intended for roleplay purposes; no special effects, and some are downright hideous. Comments are nice, but not necessary. Same goes for credit.

Here comes the New Year, and the days of retrospection are upon us. I was going to write a Bleach 2009 entry but looking over the chapters, there was only the Lust Arc and its subsequent fights and all of that seemed so fresh--nothing to wax nostalgic over yet. I started to think about things outside the story--you know, ship wars and forum fun and LJ-cut issues. I know I always say that I like to talk about the source material more than fandom, but I've learned some stuffs about fandom this year. Before I knew it, I'd typed up a few pages, and below is an excerpt for you. Maybe, if you guys are interested, I'll continue posting more little entries like the following over the coming days. There are plenty references to Bleach so its not altogether off-topic stuff but be warned that it's all fandom-related instead of Bleach text, manga-proper related.

At that moment, Lee showed up.  I always thought that Lee looked more like a Tom than a Lee.  He was tall, his head was shaved, he was large—overweight I think, actually, although I would never say that because he’s so sensitive about things like that (although his nonchalance makes it seem like he isn’t)—and yet somehow looked like he was nine years old.  Maybe it was the way he dressed that made him look that way.  Anyway, he should have come off as intimidating, given his god-given bodily figure.  Instead, he came off as very nice and very sociable but somewhat insecure.  You could tell he was kind of insecure because of his humor, which was self-deprecating without being dark.  Sometimes he would make jokes about being ugly.

Personally, although I swear I don’t subscribe to any stupid universal-love-like beliefs, I find it easy to find things beautiful that are not, really, classically beautiful.  Even those things that someone like me might, every once in a while, in a conversation, forgetting for a moment that I can find beauty in everything, say is “the kind of ugly that just can’t be beautiful,” or “really profoundly mundane, so that it just can’t be beautiful,” or “like a scrap of white plastic, like, plastic all the way from the 70’s, sitting on a granite counter, and maybe from being beaten up it has a couple of grooves in it filled with dirt.  But the contrived contrast between the plastic and the granite makes it impossible for the situation to be beautiful.”  The reason I let you in on that fact about me is that I want to tell you that I didn’t find Lee ugly.  Lots of people would reassure him that he was not ugly, but I really meant it.  They didn’t.

So, it's Christmas and I was browsing through Youtube for my favourite songs, when I stumbled upon a fantastic Naruto video. It features Naruto gang from the moment they're in preschool to the moment they graduate. Trust me, guys this is how all Naruto high school fics should be - but alas, they're not!

The video contains some SasuNaru (oh, dear, there was this one picture that sent me into a fit giggles) action along with a various assortment of other pairings. It also contains some really hot pics of the Naruto guys and girls.

:) This is my first ever post on LJ, and I'm feeling very accomplished now that I figured out how. You see, I've been lurking forever and ever, and I wanted to see if anyone knew of any English Kakairu websites somewhere. 'Cause I can't find any lol. Also, anyone know of some delicious english doujinshi too? I'm not exactly new to the fandom, but I don't know as much as I should or would like to about where to find the 'good stuff.' Am I making any sense? Probably not. *cough* I'm feeling kind of weird and awkward. Which is weird in itself because all I'm doing is posting on Lj...Excuse the rambling. Um, any suggestions are welcome. I'm also looking for well-written fics too. Preferrably R rated and up. The Kakashi Mission was freakin' amazing, and if there's anything similar out there, could someone point it out? Ugh, I've said too much. Ciao! ...Did I even spell that right? Yes, I'm an idiot. An idiot in love. With Kakairu!!!!! ^^ Couldn't help it. Later!

I was feeling sorry yesterday for Orihime because she wasn't a cut-out at Jump Festa and because she was only a blip on Kubo-sensei's last spread so I made a New Year's wish for her to have a big wonderful part in the manga in 2010 and drew this. HAHA, this very morning there's a new year's spread from Kubo with a prominent foreground beautiful Orihime--of course his trumps mine but I still love my little wish. All my arts are little wishes, lousy as they are. My graphics tablet is SO dying but I've decided I'm going to buy a new pair of glasses before getting a new tablet--I need eyes to see better before I need a tablet to draw when it comes to art, right?

My broken tooth can wait though, haha.

Gooood Morning! Yays and yays! The raw is out at BA and there's a New Year's Spread--the nakama going to temple. LOL, looks like Chad and Ishida are temple virgins. They're tiny but everyone else is awesome. Orihime (I was depressed about her yesterday and started drawing my own New Year's pic of her) looks especially pretty. She was a blip in the last spread and she's foreground here. Just a photograph of the spread for now but will update this post.
